The Racing Ear Podcast
Hello my name is Trent Barr and thank you for listening to The Racing Ear Podcast. I have been a passionate historic sports car racing fan since I was a child and I started my first version podcast back in 2014. I started going to historic sports car racing events and audio recording racing cars in the paddock and on the track. Then I started up again and I wanted to interview people who have been in the racing industry.
I have been involved with hosting this podcast with 2-Time 24 Hours of Le Mans Winner, Rick Knoop and Auto Racing Engineer, Jeff Oldham. I have been involved in over 40 episodes of interviews through the kindness of Rick and Jeff with very well know figures in the racing world.
More recently I started podcasting again by going to events and just being a Huell Howser-esque kind of interviewer / fan talking to people about their cars, whether they own racing cars, classic cars, or are just racing fans just like me. I look forward to doing more interviews in the future as well as attending more historic sports car racing events in the future as well.
Thank you so much for listening to The Racing Ear Podcast.

TRE Ep 32 Henry "Ike" Smith and Rick Knoop Auto Racing Memories Part 2
Send me a message. I would love to know where you are listening to me from!!
Hello Racing Ears,
Many thanks go to Rick Knoop and Henry "Ike" Smith for making this episode happen at the glorious "Conversation Diner" in Central California. As mentioned in our last episode, myself and Mr. Producer were able to visit Rick and Ike during the Holidays in 2021.
In this episode we all had a conversation about how Henry "Ike" Smith became interested in cars which then developed into a burning passion for cars that propelled him to the highest levels of auto racing as a driver, mechanic, and racing team manager.
From Pebble Beach to Vacaville to Billy Scyphers Jr to Steve Earle to Jackie Stewart, Richard Petty, Don Garlits, and Mario Andretti on the lawns at The White House with Richard Nixon to racing in Japan were discussed in this glorious part two episode of The Racing Ear Podcast.
Thank you so much for listening to The Racing Ear Podcast
